Center for Information Technology

The Center for Information Technology (CIT) is the main source for information technology resources at Oberlin. CIT provides technical assistance to the entire campus, providing support for faculty and staff office computers and student personal computers, maintaining the campus network and Internet access, maintaining many computer labs across campus, and supporting the main administrative suite of programs used by the college. CIT also runs the Technology Store, which sells Apple and HP computers, as well as various accessories. The CIT Oberlin Center for Technologically Enhanced Teaching (OCTET) facilitates the use of technology by faculty and students in the academic environment, providing resources such as Oncampus, a course management and collaboration solution. CIT also includes Audio Visual, which offers a wide variety of audio-visual resources for use by faculty, students, staff and campus organizations, and supports and provides instruction in the use of the many technologically-enhanced classrooms on campus. CIT is co-administered by the Dean of Arts and Sciences and the Dean of the Conservatory.
